Diego Nuñez is an associate attorney working in Peek Toland & Castañeda PLLC’s immigration practice since 2011. He earned his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was a student attorney and student director of the immigration law clinic. Diego received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Diego has dedicated his professional career to the representation of individuals with immigration law matters. Prior to being an attorney, he represented individuals before the Immigration Service (INS & CIS) as an accredited representative working at the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota from 2000 to 2004.
Diego has extensive and varied immigration law experience representing individuals in employment related matters, family reunification cases, citizenship and naturalization, deportation defense, immigration appeals and visa waivers. Prior to working with Peek Toland & Castañeda PLLC, he gained invaluable experience working with firms in Austin, Houston, and Minneapolis. Diego has had the honor of successfully representing artists, foreign investors, software developers, immigrant families, as well as asylum seekers. He has also counseled companies and educational institutions on various employment-based matters. Working with such diverse clients has broadened his understanding of the unique and particular needs they may have and how to best serve them.
Diego has been admitted to the State Bars of Texas and Minnesota. He is fluent in Spanish.
